Sharing my trail running experience

New Bergans ultra light tent, Sonos Roam and a delivery from Salomon, but no running.

4 deliveries this week. 🤩 Or rather 3 deliveries and one visit to the shop for inspiration. In these Corona times, I’ve been getting used to deliveries, but it’s nice to visit a shop to touch and feel before one buy as well. This week, in preparation for next week adventures I bought a new…

Did I just got runners knee during a run?

Oh no. It happened again. I didn’t think I would, but I got a runners knee again. A few years ago I got a runners knee. This after the usual scenario, my distances and speed had relatively quickly increased and I ran more and more. For months I tried to recover and re-hab. I frequently…

Cycling to reboot

Today I took a day off. A day off work. A rest day from running. As I recently have started another training program, todays schedule actually said 90 minutes in slow temp with a few burst of high speed, and in a way I really had time for it today but I choose not to.

I blame it on the intervals

Or could it be the lack of rest days… Probably the latter, but it feels better to blame it on the intervals, putting the blame on something else than me… 😉 During the interval session last week, I felt that my calfs was tired. Despite that I pushed through mixed terrain with speed and lots…

By following the local recommendations and restrictions all joint training sessions has been cancelled for weeks and weeks. Today it was finally time to meet up out in the forest and enjoy the trails…

Will these Joe Nimble Addict Trail replace my Altra?

Having used Altra for a couple of years, I’ve seen both the good sides of Altra, and the negative sides. I also like to try different shoes, so when I saw these new Trail Addict from Joe Nimble, I got really excited. Found them early this autumn on Indigogo but it took months to have them delivered, so the excitement…

I’m back – A longer long run

Being unable to run for a week makes one (or at least me) think of primarily one thing. When to run next time? How to run next time? Can I ever run again? During the last week I slowly ramped up and finished of strong with an long, long run on Billingen on Billingen in…

Run free

In a previous post, I among a few other things spoke about my feelings on following a training plan. Now a few weeks after, I realise once again that this with training plans isn’t really for me. Being used to a hectic tempo at work, with lots of deadlines, milestones to reach and deliverables to…

Will I ever be able to run again?

3 days without running, and quickly strange thoughts and stress come top of mind. Will I ever be able to run again? How can I handle [ABC] at work? It’s clear that running helps me organise my mind and keep focus. This week didn’t turn out as expected, and I missed the long awaited long…
