On the way to Kebnekaise
We are finally on our way! On the way to something that will make us all grow. On the way to an experience. On the way to Kebnekaise, the highest peak in Sweden.
For about a year ago, I had a chat with Catherine and Tim asking if they wanted to join me and the kids to the very north of Sweden. With excitement they said; Yes of course. What a great holiday together for the cousins.
For a year we have been training. Hiking every month. Extending the hikes and added more elevation each time. Despite that I believe we have trained a lot, we could obviously have done more, because this will be tough. Tough, but possible if set our mind to it and I believe we all have. We all have the right mind set to complete this experience together.
Kebnekaise is the highest peak in Sweden, just over 2,000m. It offer two routes up, the west and the east route. The west, which we will take, is a relatively easy terrain but it will for sure be a whole day out. With the 1,800m of elevation we’re estimating to be out for about 15 hours.
To get to Kebnekaise, we’ve rented a van and will take road trip through Sweden. Camping along the way. That’s it for now. We’re all excited to be on the way to Kebnekaise.
Check out this quick 360 video and join us in the van…
