New Bergans ultra light tent, Sonos Roam and a delivery from Salomon, but no running.
4 deliveries this week. 🤩 Or rather 3 deliveries and one visit to the shop for inspiration. In these Corona times, I’ve been getting used to deliveries, but it’s nice to visit a shop to touch and feel before one buy as well. This week, in preparation for next week adventures I bought a new tent from Bergans (Bergans Ultra Light Tunnel Tent for 1 person), finally got the new portable speak from Sonos delivered (The Sonos Roam) and another delivery of running clothes and gear from Salomon.
Monday – A interval training run with Team Nordic Trail in the evening sun
To my surprise, I got through the whole hour with Team Nordic Trail without any pain and feeling of the runners knee. I guess its because I really took it easy. I had the luxury of being a coach this evening, and with that I didn’t run as much. But with 3 miles without any pain and feeling from the runners knee, I thought I was about to recover. I was wrong. This evening we had interval sessions in a nice small hill in the evening sun.
Tuesday – Delivery day from Sonos, Salomon and cool games
Other than the daily morning yoga and strength exercise I’m trying to truly rest and recover from the runners knee. How great then to have three deliveries to make it a better day.
Sonos Roam – New portable and water resistant airplay and bluetooth speaker
It’s several weeks, since I ordered the new Sonos Roam portable speaker so I had almost forgot that I had done so. When it was announced I was quick to order. With the great launch deal/price from Sonos it was hard to resist. I’ve been wanting a smaller, more portable speaker than the Denon speaker I currently use for my travel. The first impressions are great. Really light, and great sound for the size of the device. The connection and setup of the new Sonos Roam was super easy, and in a few clicks the new Sonos Roam was quickly connected to my Sonos network at home.
Salomon clothes for trail running
I guess I already have a fair amount of trail running clothes, but can one really have too much? Much of my running clothes are today branded by Team Nordic Trail, so I thought it would be nice with some unbranded clothes as well. A new running cap, running wind jacket a few water bottles and a couple of new Salmon pants that I quickly make shorts of. I really like Salomons running clothes. Nice fit, good quality and good design. I primarily use Salomon running clothes and I also use their running vests and running poles.
Thats clever – a new dice game instead of Yatzy
A friend of me recommended this game. Clever. Apparently a great dice game that is a bit more strategic, fun and “clever” if one compare to Yatzy. I haven’t played it yet, but it will be good to try it out with the kids soon.
Thursday – More work and another doctors appointment
I do like my work. It’s challenging, extremely high tempo and many great colleagues to work with. Though, with the high tempo and frequent meeting, its almost a must to get the relief by a good training session. Today, a small session of day was to record a presentation for work. Doing presentation , specifically in front of a camera isn’t anything that I feel natural about yet, that’s one of the reasons we started the We Run Stockholm-project. But I guess, the more recordings, the more I stand infront of the camera, the better it become. Might do more on Youtube just for the same reason.
Today I also had to visit the doctor again. Something is wrong with my digesting and I frequently get some kind of reflux reflex. This is how I looked today, hopefully I will get some results soon.
And finally the weekend. Cycling instead of running and a new tent.
Weekends – the time to recover and reboot. Something I normally do by running which I of course can’t do right now, but I still need to get out. This Saturday I took the bike up to Hellas to enjoy a couple of hours out on the trails on my mountainbike. Hellas is a great forest for both running, hiking and cycling. What makes it even better is Mountainbikeskolan – a really cool place to hang out after the bike ride. Great food a nice people! That I also got servered some special and tasty vegan food of course made it even better.
During Sunday – I tried to run but gave up after 2k. I’m clearly not ready yet. Instead I ended up on a hike at home on the treadmill with good elevation gain and a nice mountainbike ride on my indoor bike. It feels great to be able enjoy a both a good hike and bike ride indoors, when the April weather outside give us some more snow.
I also went by Alewalds to look at a new tent. Next week we’re planning to head down to Skåne in south of Sweden for a long weekend with trail running and camping. With great preparation 😉 I planned to pick up a new tent the weekend before. I’m happy with the purchase though, I think this 1 person tent from Bergans, weighing only 800gr will be perfect for me. Bergans Ultra Light ,1 person tent.
